The new SampleTank 4 has been designed from the ground up to be every musician’s “go to” workstation for music creation. You’ve never experienced a sound workstation this deep and powerful, that still keeps your workflow this effortless. SampleTank 4 offers a new, cutting-edge sound engine to deliver more powerful music creation tools than you ever imagined.
Your “go to” virtual instrument is the one you open first; the one you trust to give you the sounds you need to get started or get the job done. SampleTank 4 SE offers 6.5GB of sounds and 600 instrument presets carefully balanced across the widest range of styles, genres and sounds.
Open the “Edit” panel of the Play window to reveal SampleTank 4’s completely re-designed new sound engine. Here you can dig into the smallest detail – switch between SampleTank’s 4 different sampling engine, including the award-winning STRETCH algorithm. Choose from 16 different filters and adjust every parameter. Edit envelopes, oscillators, portamento, polyphony, and more. You can edit each element of a sound with completely different settings for each. You can even edit each zone of the sound, focusing on just lows or highs, to create instruments that radically transform across their range.
SampleTank 4’s new modulation matrix gives you complete control over the organic complexity of your sounds. Easily link modulation sources like envelopes, LFOs, oscillators, and even individual instrument element.
SampleTank 4 turns presets into performances with 4 new “Player” sections: the Arpeggiator, Strummer, Pattern Player and Loop Manager. The Arpeggiator lets you draw in up to 16-note patterns, set velocity, length and swing, or just choose from the included patterns. The Strummer section creates amazingly realistic guitar chords, letting you intelligently pick the key, chord positions, strumming direction, and more. The Pattern Player lets you easily browse MIDI patterns and instantly map them to different keys to trigger on the fly, and the Loop Manager similarly lets you assign or trigger hundreds of loops with access to all-new controls.
And mixing is faster than ever as well, with in-interface access to all onboard effects. You can mix an entire track in one window, keeping you focused on the music and not menu-diving. SampleTank 4 also adds several console channel strips, letting you mix with the sound of legendary studio consoles from all eras. Derived from our award-winning T-RackS series, these channel strips deliver unbelievably accurate modeling of EQs, compressors, and limiters to give your tracks the most professional polish.
SampleTank 4 adds 13 new effects for a grand total of 60. You’ve never heard effects like these in a virtual instrument – they’re derived from our AmpliTube and T-RackS for unbelievably realistic tube saturation, a massive range of analog pedal effects, and a wealth of professional studio processors. SampleTank 4 also adds a new effects modulation matrix, giving you more ways to modulate and shape your sound than ever before. Map any parameter of the effects to the source of your choice, adjust curves and levels, and more.
SampleTank 4 also offers seamless integration with IK’s iRig Keys I/O MIDI controllers. You can browse and load sounds from the DATA knob, control any of the 8 macros instantly from the touch-sensitive encoders, control the transport and even trigger loops or browse drum samples for the integrated pad controllers.
A unique, re-designed Live mode lets you build an entire set list and gives you the controls you need on stage right at your fingertips. Quickly organize a set list, by saving Multis by song. You can assign a unique program change message to each sound to move between sounds from your MIDI controller or keyboard. Set list change? Just drag and drop the song order instantly. Each Multi can have its own tempo, letting you use all the “Player” sections (Looper, Arpeggiator, Strummer and Patterns) without needing to adjust settings. And each Multi has its own master volume control, so you can turn it up for your solo or lay back in the groove when it’s time, without needing to do a thing on stage.
