The microphone's sensitivity and frequency response are calibrated at the factory before shipping, and thus, with this mic and a corresponding app, you can measure the SPL and frequency content of speech, instruments, live sound signals, and even the space surrounding you. With this kit, you should be able to acquire SPL and RTA readings with ease, doing so in a variety of places (mounted on your collar or on a tripod, for instance), and all whilst monitoring the sound on your mobile device.
