It's powered by the included Native Instruments Kontakt player, and the library is suitable for film-scoring, pop-production, song-writing, and composing classical works of any era including the modern and the avant-garde. Note: Emotional Cello Crossgrade provides registered owners of Emotional Violin with Emotional Cello. If Emotional Violin and Emotional Cello Crossgrade are purchased simultaneously, Emotional Violin must be registered first or Emotional Cello will not activate.

Emotional Cello, which has been sampled over the course of four years by Harmonic Subtones utilizes an instrumentalist-generated vibrato system for a more naturalistic sound. Key switches offer extensive control over various parameters such as the directional change of bowing, the selection of different articulations, and the transition from straight tone to vibrato.

This virtual instrument collection is compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms. It can run in standalone mode or operate within VST, AU, or AAX formats.

Optimal Usage of the Kontakt Engine Emotional Cello offers three true legato master patches: Normal, Sulponticello, and Harmonics. These contain about 80% of all the recorded articulations, which are interconnected using internal scripting. For example, a note played at the beginning of a phrase will always trigger the first note of a given source recording. In other words, all samples originate from a corresponding tonal context intelligently selected by the software.

Approximately 50 additional single-patches contain a selected articulation each. Choices range from simple sustain patches to dynamic crossfades between four layers. These patches are suitable for producers who prefer to arrange different articulations on different MIDI tracks instead of triggering key-switches.

Also offered are four round-robin samples for long notes, and up to eight round-robin samples for short notes. 16 Articulations and Play Styles
