The sounds were sampled using traditional and frequently-employed Chinese percussion articulations. Various instruments in this collection have been sampled with up to sixteen velocity layers to ensure a faithfully dynamic reproduction.

The graphic user interface assists you in learning how the actual instruments look in relation to how they produce sound. Drum layers are mapped with a roll crossfade, which can be controlled via MIDI controller CC1 for reproducing a realistic crescendo, and all layers feature both close and room microphone positions, with a dry/wet control to adjust the balance between them.
