New McDSP Classic Pack v7 Plug-In (HD) AAX/VST/Mac/PC (Download/Activation Card)

Analog Channel v6 from McDSP is a pair of plug-ins that emulates the sounds of high-end analog tape machines, analog tape, and analog channel amplifiers. With the experience of modelling analog compressors and filter circuits, both vintage and modern, McDSP has provided a solution for smoothing the digital edge that can sometimes accumulate on digital workstations as track count increases.

One section of the Analog Channel, AC101, acts as a digital pre-amp allowing even excessive amounts of gain without digital distortion. A drive control determines where the audio sits in the saturation/compression region. Attack and release times of the distortion character are adjustable.

The second section, AC202, provides standard tape machine parameters such as bias, playback speed, and IEC1/2 equalization. However, it also provides controls well beyond the limits of analog tape devices, including adjustable low frequency roll off and head bump - independent of playback speed. The user can select from several playback head types, and even control the rate at which tape saturation is disengaged. Modern and vintage tape formulations are available.

The HD plug-ins provide AAX DSP for use with Pro Tools HD, but also includes AAX Native, Audio Units and VST versions for use with other DAWs including Logic, Digital Performer (DP), Cubase, and Ableton Live.

The CompressorBank v6 from McDSP features three pro-quality compressor plug-ins designed to emulate the sound of vintage and modern compressors, while delivering complete control of dynamic compression. It can be used on Mac and Windows computers by musicians, producers, and engineers in audio applications for recording studios, broadcast TV, films, voice-overs, and more.

CompressorBank includes three plug-ins. The first is the CB101, which features basic compression functions. Second is the CB202, which has basic compression with pre-filtering. The tweaky CB303 completes the package and has compression with pre-filtering and static/dynamic EQ. Common controls such as output (make-up gain), threshold, compression (ratio), attack, and release are provided.

In addition to offering the standard attack control, CompressorBank comes with a unique control called BITE, which is included on all three plug-ins. BITE stands for Bi-directional Intelligent Transient Enhancement. When the BITE control is set to its minimum value, it has no effect on the compressor output. As the BITE control is increased, signal transients pass through the compressor unaffected, while the rest of the signal is processed as per the Attack control.

The MC2000 v6 from McDSP is a collection of three pro-quality multiband compressor plug-ins designed to emulate the sounds of vintage and modern compressors. It can be used on Mac and Windows computers by musicians, producers, and engineers for applications such as studio recordings, broadcast TV, voice-overs, films, and more.

The MC2000 gives the user complete control of multiband dynamic compression. Common controls such as output (make-up gain), threshold, compression (ratio), attack, and release are provided. Non-standard Knee and BITE controls allow unique and unprecedented articulation of compression characteristics. Multiple peak detection circuit types provide flexibility only previously achieved by owning several compression units. Steep 24 dB/Oct crossover filters minimize signal leakage into adjacent compression bands.

The FilterBank v6 from McDSP is a pro-quality equalizer plug-in designed to emulate the sound of vintage and modern equalizers and filters. It can be used on Mac and Windows computers by musicians, producers, and engineers in audio applications for recording studios, broadcast TV, films, voice-overs, and more. The processor consists of three plug-ins.

The E606 is a parametric EQ with high-and low-shelving EQ, and high-and low-pass filters. The P606 is a parametric EQ with variable Q modes, while the F202 delivers steep high-and low-pass filtering with resonant Q control. With its unique Peak, Slope, Dip controls and variable Q modes, FilterBank v6 can emulate any EQ, or be used to create a distinct custom EQ.
